Vous effectuerez un trajet de 45 minutes sur la Southern Highway jusqu&#8217;au Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, o\u00f9 se trouve la seule R\u00e9serve de jaguars au monde. Vous ferez une randonn\u00e9e dans ce sanctuaire unique qui couvre une superficie d&#8217;environ 150 miles carr\u00e9s de for\u00eat tropicale. On estime que plus de 80 jaguars r\u00e9sident dans la r\u00e9gion. Si vous avez de la chance, vous pourriez apercevoir des traces fra\u00eeches de jaguars. Le Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary abrite les cinq f\u00e9lins sauvages du Belize : le jaguar, le puma, le margay, le jaguarondi et l&#8217;ocelot. L&#8217;animal national du Belize, le tapir de Baird, une esp\u00e8ce menac\u00e9e, habite \u00e9galement le bassin ; 290 esp\u00e8ces d&#8217;oiseaux diff\u00e9rentes y ont \u00e9t\u00e9
