Surnomm\u00e9e par National Geographic la grotte la plus sacr\u00e9e du monde, la grotte ATM abrite la \u00ab Crystal Maiden \u00bb (la Jeune Fille de Cristal), le squelette d&#8217;une victime sacrificielle qui s&#8217;est compl\u00e8tement calcifi\u00e9 apr\u00e8s \u00eatre rest\u00e9 au m\u00eame endroit pendant 1 000 ans. Cette grotte est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme hautement spirituelle et v\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e par les Mayas comme une porte d&#8217;entr\u00e9e vers la demeure de leurs dieux. L&#8217;excursion ATM est class\u00e9e comme extr\u00eame \u2013 elle n\u00e9cessite de la natation, de la randonn\u00e9e et de l&#8217;escalade. Les visiteurs devront marcher environ 45 minutes \u00e0 travers la r\u00e9serve naturelle de Tapir Mountain, puis nager \u00e0 travers l&#8217;entr\u00e9e de la grotte pour y p\u00e9n\u00e9trer.
