A Thanksgiving Feast
On November, 28th, celebrate Thanksgiving with an extra special dinner, whether by the beach, near the lagoon, or surrounded by rainforest foliage. With menus specially crafted by our Executive Chef—Chef Rahim—our annual Thanksgiving dinner combines the very best of Thanksgiving cuisine with the stunning settings of Belize.
At The Rainforest Lodge at Sleeping Giant, get things started with a tender and velvety turkey and pumpkin pâté, followed by the delectable main course: herb-infused roasted turkey, complete with all the trimmings. Then, top it all off with some pumpkin mousse and a champagne gelee. Or, opt for something a bit more traditional at Umaya Resort & Adventures. Enjoy spiced pumpkin and carrot soup, garlic herb turkey, and pumpkin pie for dessert, all with a side of scenic lagoon and mountain views.
If you happen to find yourself on the beaches of Hopkins, dine with us at the Paddle House for a night bursting with flavor. The menu is set to feature a goat cheese and pumpkin crostini, a succulent roasted turkey boasting notes of citrus and cranberry, and decadent pumpkin cheesecake.
A December to Remember
After Thanksgiving, herald the coming Christmas season with a special tree lighting ceremony, happening on December 1st at The Lodge at Jaguar Reef and on December 7th at both Umaya Resort and Sleeping Giant Lodge. After all, nothing says “‘tis the season” quite like watching the night light up with the warm colors of the holidays. It’s the perfect way to kick off your festive season in Belize.
For those hoping to let loose a bit, Umaya will be the host venue for Placencia’s annual Mistletoe Ball on December 14th. It is the holiday event of the season on the Peninsula and it promises plenty of jolly fun alongside good music, great food, and even better company.
Later in the month, enjoy a classic holiday film under the stars with our Christmas Movie Night on December 20th. Follow it up shortly after on the 24th with an elegant Christmas Eve Dinner, with each resort set to have its own mouthwatering three-course spread.
