Xunantunich Archeological Site and Inland Blue Hole
Departs from Hopkins
Located in the Cayo District, the archaeological site Xunantunich is an excellent tour for all ages. To access Xunantunich, you will cross the Mopan River on a hand-cranked ferry. Xunantunich, which translates to “Maiden of the Rock”, is best known for El Castillo, the second highest structure in Belize. This site consists of six major Mayan plazas and 25 temples. Highlights include stelae carved into the facade of the Mayan temples and amazing views for those adventurous enough to scale to the top. Hop back into the van and stop at St. Herman’s Blue Hole for a quick dip.
