Learning from Horses: A One-Day Wellness Workshop with Horses

Spend a full day with horses learning how to care for them, connect with them, and ride with confidence. Guided by Apryl Nicole, this hands-on experience is welcoming to all levels and grounded in kindness, patience, and respect. We wrap up the day with wine and cheese at sunset.

1:15 PMConnecting with Your Horse & Building TrustGuided relational touch practices, nervous system attunement, and presence work with the horses.
2:15 PMPre-Ride Care and GroomingGrooming techniques, hoof picking, and reading body language. Hands-on introduction to how preparation builds trust.
2:45 PMTacking and Dressing the HorseIdentifying and fitting tack with care and patience. Observing the horse’s response throughout.
3:00 PMGuided Jungle RideAn intentionally paced horseback ride through the Belizean jungle. Focus on breath, balance, and presence with your horse.
4:00 PMPost-Ride CareUntacking, cool-down, post-ride grooming, hoof checking, feeding, and hydration. Reflection on care as continued relationship.
4:45 PMClosing and IntegrationClosing reflections followed by Wine & Cheese at Sunset.

What To Wear:

We recommend wearing stretch pants and closed-toe shoes with a slight heel for a comfortable ride. Riding helmets are available upon request to ensure your safety and peace of mind.
