The actual marriage process is simple. Couples intending to wed need to be in Belize for at least three consecutive days before applying for their marriage license. After those three days, they can apply for their marriage license through Belize’s Registrar General’s Office. Following the wedding itself, the marriage certificate—recognized in the U.S., Canada, and most other countries—is registered with the Registrar General.
