Nim Li Punit & Lubanntun
Nim Li Punit Maya Ruin inherited it’s named from a carving on the longest of sites twenty-six stone monuments or Stelae, depicting a figure wearing a large headdress. The site has some prominence in the culture of the ancient Maya site in Southern Belize. Nim Li Punit is comprised of two of the most fascinating complexes the Plaza of the Royal Tombs and the Plaza of the Stellae. Lubanntun, which means "place of the fallen stones" is a modern name for the site. It is also the largest Maya site in Southern Belize. It is well known for the unusual style of construction and is a late classic ceremonial center dated to 700-900AD.

Half Day Chocolate Factory Tour
Visit the small southern village of Maya Center, there you are met by a traditional Mayan family led by a master chocolate who offers the opportunity to go on a two-hour tour, which includes a hike at the cacao farm. There you will have the opportunity to taste the cacao bean and get a chance to see a variety of wild birds, flora & fauna. The second leg of the tour takes you through the full process is explained right through to the finished bar of dark chocolate and topping it off with a wonderful ending of eating your personally made chocolate. Actun Tunichil Muknal “ATM Cave”
The adventure begins with a hike through the 6,700-acre Tapir Mountain Nature Preserve for about an hour and crossing three shallow rivers. The cave’s entrance is guarded by a spring-fed pool, obligating you to swim in and then wade up a subterranean river. You will enter several large caverns, including one known as the “Cathedral” where a number of undisturbed Maya artifacts are visible, including a soaring altar carved from the native stone. One of the cave’s names is “The Cave of the Stone Sepulcher” due to this magnificent piece of religious artistry see the intact skeletons of Maya people whose lives were sacrificed in a desperate effort to appease the gods during one of the most turbulent and difficult times in Maya history. This adventure requires the visitor to be fit, able to hike, swim, climb through tight spaces, and traverse large stone steps to the inner sanctum.
